Golden Bay to Gnejna
The west coast of Malta is wild and largely undeveloped. From The Blue Lagoon in the South to Popeye Village in the north is wild and rugged country with some beautiful beaches and spectacular scenery. Here we have the well known Golden Bay to the less well-known Gnejna Bay - a difficult walk of about 3 kilometres. These photos were taken in November. |
Golden Bay
Between Golden Bay and Gnejna - Riviera Bay
Riviera Bay.
Interesting rocks back from the sea.
The lower rocks are sandstone and the upper rocks simply sun baked mud.
Sandstone, clear blue sea, blue sky...
Sun baked soil.
Gnejna Bay with summerhouses cut into the cliffs.
